MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER/DRAFTSMAN

South Auckland based, 15 minutes from the Hill Rd offramp, the position will involve component design, 3D modelling, drafting, documentation to ISO 9001 and some project management. No two days are the same. You can be in the office designing a product one day and in the workshop making it the next. A varied skill-set is therefore valuable.

  • Strong design skills with CAD package Solid Edge
  • Must have a minimum trade cert  or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (or at least 5-6 years in the engineering industry)
  • CNC and/or manual machining experience will put you at the front of the line
  • Basic Microsoft office skills (Word and Excel)
  • Must have very good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-keeping skills
  • Skills in Mechatronics are not essential but may be an advantage
  • Fast learner.
