Step up to this challenge ...Our client represent renowned global lubricant brands supplying to both industrial and marine markets throughout New Zealand. Due to our clients aspirations for continued growth they are now looking to engage a Territory Sales Manager covering the South Island (ideally you will be based in Christchurch). You will have a natural talent ‘to talk the talk’ and can add value to existing clients, whilst seeking new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for the development and success of the sales portfolio for the Central South Island, (Canterbury, West Coast to Oamaru) note this excludes Nelson/Marlborough region and South of Oamaru areas.

 

A key function of this role is developing key relationships by developing, consolidating and securing new business opportunities in a highly competitive market. Your essential challenge will be the development of new business, to maximise and foster relationships with existing key accounts.

You are clearly an excellent communicator at all levels and will thrive on the chance to demonstrate your innovative, strategic and tactical thinking as well as your enviable sales skills. Combined with these attributes . . .

The successful candidate will have:

  • A successful technical sales track record of 2+ years sales channel, preferably within the engineering and/or lubricants sector
  • Existing contacts or exposure would be a distinct advantage within industry
  • An instinctive desire to succeed and be the best with a demonstrable ability to identify and seize opportunities
  • Key relationship management skills with a flair for building a rapport with a diverse cross section of clients and industries
  • A mature, hands-on attitude with an unbeatable work ethic
  • Effective time and territory management strategies
  • A natural technical engineering aptitude
  • The capability to think creatively, be solutions-driven and 100% customer-focused
  • Have the flexibility to travel
  • Possess a high level of computer literacy
