This well established NZ owned electrical engineering company provides to marine and industrial sectors who are experiencing rapid growth. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic motivated Workshop Supervisor who is process driven, to join the team. This role will be reporting to the General Manager. This position is full time ‘hands on’ role leading an electrical and engineering team, in which you will responsible for motivating and providing direct supervision to the busy, energetic team. The prime responsibility of this role is to ensure that the completion of all projects and contracts are met within the tight deadlines maximising efficiencies.
The successful candidate must:
- Have a proven record of leadership and supervisory training skills
- Be self-motivated and a team player
- Have excellent record keeping and computer skills
- Have good technical skills (general maintenance and repair techniques and execution)
- Have proven record of showing initiative
- Have the ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and be a key decision maker
- Be Health and Safety, Quality and Productive focused
- Have well developed communication skills
You will also bring:
- Proven background with a sound ‘hands-on’ working experience within a mechanical engineering background (welding, fabrication and servicing diesel engines)
- Proven background in people management
- Your ability to drive change and be innovative
The ideal candidate will come from a workshop environment and now seeking a challenging role with a progressive company. An understanding of electrical matters advantageous.
